| Dot Per Inch (DPI) |
A measurement to measure spatial of printing or video dots density, particularly the number of dots place in a line in a span of 1 inch (2,54 cm). DPI often related to picture resolution. But it is connected indirectly. Generally, the higher the DPI, the higher the quality or resolution of the picture.
Example: Picture printed with resolution of 600 dpi, that means in 1 inci (2,5 cm) there is 600 dots. |
